PKs
Why is it that PKs are some of the most hurt and misguided people in ministry? Pastors are supposed to be the model leaders, ministers, and PARENTS. I think pastors care too much about what the people in the congregation think. They raise their children to be trophies on display. They have them wound so tight that at some point they can't fake it anymore and they rebel against their parents, the church, and God. It breaks my heart to see this. I mean it. Not much makes me more angry than watching the devil destroy kids in one of the most amazing opportunities ever. To grow up in a pastor's home and have a behind-the-scenes look at church is an awesome experience. I count it an amazing privelege. I'm not going to fix all the problems addressed here, but maybe I can be a small part of the solution.

Wow. I applaud your desire to be a part of the solution to this seemingly ever-present problem. I don't think that the pastors care too much about what the people in their congregation think; I think the pastors are just trying to set good examples for their flock. Granted, it's not fair...but hey, the fair's in august, and well...it's still february. But setting a good example is part of what being a pastor is all about, pastors are supposed to guide and support and lead their congragations. How would a congragation know what a godly family looks like if they do not have an example? And with the pastor leading the church, his family is put under a lot more scrutiny (I think that's how you spell it) than most other families. So being a PK is a tough job because people are watching your every move, but it is one of the greatest privilages and responsibilities in our society: being a good example. I mean, there are plenty of bad examples, so people really watch the good ones. You are not a trophy, you are a living, breathing example to the world.
